Being able to have the opportunity going abroad by myself, enriched me in so many ways. The experience of living alone, adapting to theenvironment, it’s the best. So here are the little things i am glad had ever happened during my 2 years living in France. These are just little things where i am sure many people had done it, do it in daily basis but it’s a new thing for me and i am proud of it. These are the things tht i am pretty sure i won’t be able to do if i stayed in my comfort zone which is my home country instead of living abroad. Being from Indonesia, my moves are limited. Limited by my parents rules, the country’s norms (that are heavily influenced by islamic norms), and of course, being in my comfort zone made me feel like why should i budge from here when I’m all good? Sononce again, i am glad that this list happens.
1) gaining my independence by living alone
2) getting drunk for the first time
3) trying weed
4) clubbing
5) working and earning my own money
6) buy something expensive from my own money
7) had my first kiss
8) kissed someone just because
9) kissed a girl
10) had my second crush, after 7 years where i started to doubt my ability to fall for anyone anymore
11) being with friends from all over the world, american, south african, indian, korean, japanese, zimbabwéen, french, german, irish, british, greek, etc
12) partying with strangers
13) solo traveling
14) visiting prague
15) visiting barcelona
16) getting into a french high school
17) being friends with jessie and gabe
18) ate a cannelé at bordeaux
19) get a second piercing, pierced it by myself
20) had my first relationship
21) had my first heartbreak (even if it hurts so bad)
22) flirting with people i shouldn’t
23) had my first job
24) had my first pay
25) losing my virginity
26) having sex just like in the movies (in a car, all over his house ie the kitchen, living room, his flatmate’s room)
27) knowing the real meaning of friendship
28) went to Amsterdam by myself, met amazing people
